Mount Vernon Genealogical Society Presents
A Day in the Life . . . Experience Your Ancestors’ Stories!

Saturday, September 7

9 am - 3 pm

Hollin Hall Senior Center
1500 Shenandoah Rd., Alexandria, VA

Have you ever wondered what a typical day in the life of an ancestor was like? What did they do for work? What did they do for play? What did they want? What did they believe?

Join us at our 2024 annual conference to explore the genealogical art of time traveling.

One of America's most popular genealogical lecturers, John Colletta, will discuss how historical research can help us understand the day-to-day lives of our ancestors.

Also joining us is George Oberle the History Librarian, Associate Professor, and Director of the Center for Mason Legacies at George Mason University. He is particularly interested in connecting local history research with broader academic scholarship so that we can better learn from each other.

Lively discussions will follow. Lunch and prizes included for only $40.

For more information and Registration go to the Events section

Watch now as Janell Blue interviews Conference Organizer Susan Jetter on the Tracing Your Roots show.
