MVGS Newsletter

The Mount Vernon Genealogical Society Newsletter is published five times a year (January, March, May, July, September and November). It keeps Society members informed of upcoming events of the Society and other local societies and research facilities. It also includes research resources, training and education opportunities, genealogical trivia, MVGS community events, and articles and announcements of genealogical interest.

Members receive the Newsletter electronically by e-mail. Current and past issues of the Newsletter are available electronically to Society Members in the Members Only section of this website. On alternate months, members will also receive an electronic bulletin of upcoming genealogical events throughout Fairfax County and beyond.

Submissions

We encourage our members and other genealogy enthusiasts to submit articles about their family trees, their immigrant ancestor's arrival in America, news items of interest to genealogists, and reviews of new genealogical books or tools.
