We know that you will find this to be information packed and an easy site to navigate. The main menu is located along the left side with familiar tabs like Home, About Us, Research Library, Members and Surname Research. New things to navigate include Forums, an Events page and others. Go ahead and explore.
The right side of this site is our calendar of Events to include Training & Education, Conferences, Special Interest Groups, and monthly speakers. The next upcoming event will appear near the top. At midnight of the current events final day, it will automatically disappear and the next training or meeting will move to the top.
The bottom of our home page has three quick links, one to the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA), a video taking you on a tour of our Research Library and our Facebook page.
MVGS members will be able to determine your own personal login and password. Once you are signed in, you will be able to see a list of your fellow members and our newsletter archive. Under the Members tab is a navigation tab called Profile. This is your own personal profile, not visible to others. Here you will find your address, phone number, email and current membership information. Those who desired not to publish either address, phone number, or email should note that the appropriate box will not be checked. When a box is checked then the corresponding information will be displayed on membership lists available to other members.
We should mention that this site was developed and managed by the EasyNetSites Company. They specialize in creating web sites for genealogical, historical, familial and lineage organizations. They currently have 200+ clients and definitely understand the needs and desires of ancestry buffs.
